description
The Sir Henry Jones Museum is set in the 2004 Wales Village of the Year and looks at life in a typical 19th Century Welsh village, which was influenced by the school, chapel and manor house. The son of the village shoemaker, Henry left school at the age of 12. But by 'working at his books... throughout the small hours, he eventually became an eminent Professor of Moral Philosophy at Glasgow University and a major influence on the education system in Wales.
