How do I find South Stack Lighthouse / Ynys Lawd?
From Holyhead town centre, make your way towards Beach Road, approaching Newry Beach. Having gone straight ahead at the first roundabout on Beach Road, turn right up Walthew Avenue, following signs for South Stack, which is about 3 miles from this point. You will ascend a steep hill, passing a car park on the left marked "RSPB". From here there are clear signs to Ellin's Tower, which is about 350 yards from the car park. Once you carry on up the hill to the end of the road, you will find the steps down to the lighthouse.
