The Welsh Highland is Snowdonia's newest narrow gauge steam railway
and, at 25 miles, the UKs longest heritage line. Trains run from
beneath the castle walls in Caernarfon, past Rhyd Ddu and Beddgelert in
the heart of the Snowdonia National Park, through the spectacular
Aberglaslyn Pass and on to Porthmadog to connect with the world famous
Ffestiniog Railway. Single trip 1 hour and 10 minutes to Rhyd Ddu, 2
hours and 25 minutes to Porthmadog. Advanced booking strongly advised.
Single journeys and combined rail/bus tickets available.

How do I find The Welsh Highland Railway?
Caernarfon is 20 minutes from the main A55 expressway, giving easy access from Anglesey and the North Wales coast. There are 3 large public car parks within a short distance walk of the station. In addition there is a small car park at our St Helen's Road station.
