Capel Garmon Burial Chamber | View Attraction Details
description
Near the village of Capel Garmon, in a beautiful position above the Conwy Valley, is a Neolithic burial chamber of a type not usually found in north Wales. Built about 3000BC, it belongs to the Severn-Cotswold group and has three chambers. During the 19th Century it was used as a stable. Although only one capstone remains, the monument is well preserved. It is in an enclosure on farmland, but access is permitted. Lying close to a public footpath, the burial chamber can be reached from the lane south of Capel Garmon village.
